Preface

To the memory of one of the pioneer families who gave so much but received so little in the making of New Zealand. This book is in remembrance of Alexander & Sarah Williamson and their five sons & one daughter who made it to NZ, (Francis, James, Henry, William, Alexander & Annie Maria) on the centenary of the death of Alexander at Wanganui on 13th December 1873.
